Painting on a regular basis was delayed by career commitments but the desire never left me. That all changed in 2015. Slowly but surely I started taking workshops, reading art books, and actually getting messy with my paints.
I love the experience, meeting other artists, learning from artists I admire, and sharing my work with those who connect with it.
When I decide to paint outdoors or in my studio from a sketch or photograph it’s rare I don’t have a story that belongs to that scene.
We live in an area that offers an abundance of natural beauty. There are many outdoor activities and festivals in the charming towns and villages of Lanark County. It is a place where I can take my time to breathe in the fresh air. The bonus for me is being in my kayak. It overwhelms me with gratitude.
Our local arts & culture community is highly supportive of the creativity that our artists have to offer, and I feel very lucky to be part of it.
