Bad is Good | by Eleanor Doran

Even though my work relies heavily on photography, the original image is not where the composition comes to life.

It’s when I enlarge, distort, crop and reduce to black and white, that things start to sing. In other words, when the photo is ruined.

I’ve become known, at neighbourhood copy place, as that woman who wants terrible reproduction. The bane of my existence is the ever-increasing quality of copiers!

Happiness is a few new brushes and tube of primary white. All good.
