Spring. The Ten Collective. What So Many Are Waiting For... ~ by Eileen Hennemann
It seems the Ten Collective show has come to represent the beginning of SPRING! Locals and visitors from Ottawa, Montreal, Toronto, Renfrew to Kingston… have looked forward to this “spring launch” since 2018.
We are looking forward to meeting you at the 2023 show. You will experience some incredible artwork, and meet artists who are passionate and driven to paint.
Don’t be shy. Each artist revels in the opportunity to engage with anyone who has questions or comments about their work. It often turns into a very meaningful conversation for the viewer and the painting’s creator. Embrace the show. Meander through the beautiful room and gaze at extraordinary paintings. For two days, we offer a time of reflection and peace while enjoying the surroundings. Yes, it is usually busy on opening day, but you can always return on Sunday and look at it all again.
Take your time and consider:
• the impact of Lily Swain’s impressively-sized mixed-media creations.
• the wild abandon of paint strokes of Kaija Savinainen’s natural world.
• Bhat Boy’s unique, fantastical observations of the every day.
• the level of skill in the images that come alive by Jill. Halliday.
• Amelia Ah You’s beautiful expression of mood and depth.
• the many colours of whimsical art rendered by Maria Moldovan.
• the lush, layered plein air landscapes by Charlie Spratt.
• Kathy McNenly’s exquisite eye for detail in rendering classic images.
• the play of light on our local landscapes that Eileen Hennemann loves to share.
• Jennifer Noxon’s expressive style envisioning what is real, or might not be.
