Gridlock. No Parking. Selling Out. It was Fantastic!
Easter weekend 2018 turned out to be an extraordinary experience for us. Traffic. Gridlock inside and out. No Parking. Selling out. It was fantastic. And everyone who attended thought so, too!
We were so excited about the potential of sharing our work with each other's networks and to exhibit in such a heritage location as the Mississippi Valley Textile Museum in Almonte.
And we were overwhelmed with the turnout. People who could not find parking nearby came in with smiles because this had become such a happening event it seemed everyone was showing up at the same time. A few of the artists sold all of their work on the first day. My goodness, we were so pleased and grateful that so many enjoyed the venue and our work.
WELCOME to the 2019 show!
The Ten Collective Vision is to offer a showcase which highlights a group of professional artists in Mississippi Mills.
Our first show had ten fine-art and mixed-media artists exhibiting paintings in their individual styles, with no two alike. One of our original artists, Nancy Young, is taking a sabbatical while she creates something we’ll hopefully see the following year, so for 2019 we have a special guest artist. Eleanor Doran, whose work is also very different than the others in the Ten Collective, has created a body of work that will inspire and thoroughly complement the exhibit.
We have added galleries to this website and included some of what is available for purchase. The artists will be creating new work right up until the show. Each gallery has contact information you can use in order to reach out to the artist and discuss a purchase or commission.
The Mississippi Valley Textile Museum is a perfect venue for a group of our size. We’re looking forward to showing there again, and we are especially looking forward to seeing you. ~ Eileen Hennemann
